Signs of hearing loss

  • Do people seem to mumble rather than speak clearly to you
  • Do people have to repeat what they have said before you understand them
  • Do other people find your television too loud but if they turn it down to their level you are unable to hear it
  • You hear well in a one to one situation, but when you are included in a group of people, it is hard to keep up with the conversation
  • Do you have difficulty understanding what is being said in noisy places, such as pubs and restaurants, even though other people are managing to hold conversations
  • Do you find it tiring to listen to conversations because you have to concentrate so hard
  • Do you have difficulty hearing when using the telephone 
  • Do you need to be looking at someone to be able to hear what they are saying
